God and Miracles

Christians know that the first miracle God preformed was when He turned the water into wine. Another great miracle which God preformed was, of course, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. God still works miracles in people’s lives every day.

People question if God still performs miracles, and according to many accounts, he does. One story is of a person in high school that was on a mission trip to Mexico with a church group. This person wasn’t looking or expecting to witness a miracle, but it happened. This person ended up with cement mix in his eyes and, even after washing out his eyes, his pain was still incredible. He couldn’t open his eyes. After awhile, he was taken to a pastor who anointed his head with oil and prayed for him. His pain instantly disappeared, and he could once again open his eyes.

On December 15, 2004, a couple were traveling by car on their way Christmas shopping. The night before the trip, the husband worked a 12 hour shift and decided not to ask his parents to come along with them. Because the husband was tired and sleepy, his wife did the driving. The couple was on a four lane highway when the wife became sleepy because of the heat in the vehicle. She closed her eyes for just a moment, and the vehicle drifted over to the left-hand shoulder of the road. She awoke and tried to take control of the vehicle, but the vehicle went down an incline. The van hit a rock wall head-on and rolled at least once or twice. If they had traveled another 10 seconds farther down the road, they would have gone off a bridge and into a deep ravine. Surprisingly, they did not suffer any serious injuries, leading one to believe that God was watching over them.
