The Miracle of Gideon the Rescued Dog

Here's a story about miracle of a dog being rescued due to being abandoned by his owners. How do people have enough hate and meanness in them to do these kind of things to sweet innocent animals?

This is a story about a white German Shepherd that was left to live on the streets and he was hit by a car and dragged down the road. He was found by Animal Control and taken to the shelter. He was missing a large swatch of skin that left his muscles and ribs exposed. His wound was covered by maggots due to the wound being a few days old.

When he arrived at the vets office, the vet thought that due to this dog being so happy even though he was in pain, that he could offer to treat him at a very low rate. The vet decided to name him Gideon. I was in need of several typed of transfusions and pain medication. Even though they didn't know if Gideon was going to make it, they kept taking extra good care of him.

They were also trying to raise funds to help pay for Gideon's medical treatment. Every time that they went to the post office box, they would have handfuls of checks that paid all of Gideon's vet bills.

It was not long until a very sweet couple heard the story about Gideon and they came to meet him and fell in love. The day he was ready to go home, he jumped in the car ready to go to a loving home. Today, Gideon is doing well and is very happy with his new family.
