Stories of Health Miracles

These are some stories about health and medical miracles that have occurred:

There are 71 early-stage breast cancer survivors that tell the stories that they experienced and how they survived all because of one man. They were all patients of Dr. David Nathanson, a breast surgeon in Detroit, Michigan. This doctor knows that this disease affects more than just the body. It affects spiritual connections, emotions and survival issues. These patients speak about their fear and challenges and also their triumphs. Some have gone on to volunteer as counselors for cancer patients. When they were facing this ordeal, they felt well-cared for. There were no negative stories in this hospital.

Another miracle story happened in the Wasatch Mountains south of Salt Lake City, Utah. A three-year-old named Paulina Filippova was hiking with her mother and older brother and sister and two family friends. As Paulina walked, she missed her step and plummeted 25 feet down a cliff and tumbled another 50 feet into a stand of scrub oak and vanished.

Another hiker saw Paulina lying 15 feet from where he was with her feet dangling over the cliff. She was eventually rescued by helicopter and was fine except for a mild concussion and some cuts and bruises.

Rachel Crossland was to go into surgery to remove an aggressive tumor and got the bittersweet news that she was pregnant with twins. The tumor was on her bladder and would need chemotherapy and radiotherapy. So, the 29-year-old refused the treatments. She had the surgery and at 32 weeks she was admitted to the hospital and had emergency caesarean section. The twins weighed 5 pounds each. She was released from the hospital five days later and started chemo and is recovering at home.
