The Bible is filled with miracles! Miracles performed in the Old Testament as well as the New! But the greatest miracle you will find in the Bible is in the New Testament, and it is the miracle of life involving the virgin Mary becoming pregnant with and giving birth to the Son of God, Jesus Christ. The Bible says that Jesus' mother Mary became pregnant with child through the Holy Spirit. No other woman in the history of the world has ever been able to conceive a child and remain a virgin. That in itself is a miracle!
The life of Jesus is also filled with many, many miracles that He performed throughout his time on this earth. The first miracle of Jesus that is recorded in the Bible was when he attended a wedding and He turned jugs of water into wine. Jesus also traveled the face of the earth healing those in need of healing, whether they were blind, crippled, possessed or suffering from a devastating disease. He healed all who believed and asked.
One of Jesus' last miracles on this earth was raising from the dead after three days had passed, and after he was crucified on the cross. The Bible says that Jesus was beaten nearly to death, and then made to carry the cross He was to be nailed onto to the place where he would be crucified. He was then nailed to the cross, where he died. The Bible then states that three days after he was taken down from the cross and buried in a tomb, he was resurrected and spent a little more time on the earth before He returned to His heavenly Father above.
