There are many stories about individual persons or individual towns having an unusual number of lottery winner. One place called "Miracle Mile" is located on a small stretch on Main Street in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The luckiest store on this Main Street is Ma and Pa's Convenience store. It is the luckiest store in the country because it has sold more winning tickets than any other store in the country. In 2006 the biggest win of 208.6 million Powerball was by a group of employees at Sargento cheese plant.
In March of 2010 there was another big winner who purchased his ticket at Ma and Pa's convenience store. Ron Horton won 1 million in a Powerball draw. He plans to buy a Kitchenaid mixer. He likes to cook and has always wanted the Kitchenaid mixer. In 2008 Pennsylvania had several big winners of 30.2 million dollars, 42.5 million dollars, two millions dollars, sixty thousand dollars, fifty thousand dollars, five hundred thousand dollars, two hundred fifty thousand dollars, and one million dollars. Fourteen people shared in a $200,000 win and six others shared in another $200,000 win.
The winning money has not always taken the winner on the road to happiness. Ken Proxmire and Wm. Hart are two who made wrong decisions with one ending in divorce and cocaine use. Janita Lee won 1.8 million in 1992 and eight years later had only 700 left. If one is a fearful person before the money win it is said that that person will be more fearful after the win.
